Any remaining morning clouds will quickly clear, giving way to widespread sunshine. Larger cumulus clouds will soon develop over the mountains. In the afternoon, heat-related thunderstorms are expected, which may be severe in some areas.

As the day progresses, widespread thundery showers will develop, followed by strengthening northerly foehn winds in many areas. Temperatures will drop. Thursday will see a pleasant mix of sunshine and clouds. Cloud cover will be thicker at times along the main Alpine ridge. Foehn winds will persist, especially in the north. Friday will continue with plenty of sunshine.
